If you experience financial difficulties that affect your ability to pay for telephone installation and service to your residence, the Federal Government’s Lifeline and Link-Up programs may be available to assist you with those costs.
Lifeline provides qualified consumers with a discount on monthly charges for their primary home phone line.
Link-Up lowers the cost eligible consumers pay for setting up new phone service at their home.
If your household income is below Federal Poverty guidelines, or you participate in programs such as Medicaid, Food Stamps, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Federal Public Housing Assistance (Section 8), Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF), or The National School Lunch Programs Free Lunch Program, your family may be eligible for assistance from Lifeline and Link-Up.
